I was disappointed to discover that the work environment at Addiction Rehab Toronto is characterized by unqualified and unsupportive clinical supervision, unequal treatment of employees, a disturbing lack of any training or support, and general disorganization, inefficiency and confusion. This amounted to a gross violation of various ethical and professional principles for practice in the field of addictions & mental health support. 

The workplace would benefit from having
-A concrete training protocol for new staff 
-student supervision and training 
-opportunities for career advancement and knowledge development
-clear, transparent and professional communication with staff
-clinical supervision 
-more consistent scheduling practices 
-benefits or some form of adequate employee compensation 
-a trauma-informed approach to care

Amazing workplace environment with supportive staff who are here to help you grow professionally and as a person. Provides an amazing program really trying to help those who are struggling. Management always provides opportunities to learn new skills and supports your professional career. 

You will get to work with many interesting clients with unique stories. The staff is passionate about their work and helping their clients turn their life around. Not all clients will be equally motivated to get sober but that is part of the challenge. 

Management plays favourites.  Staff do not work cohesively because there are not set policy and procedures. You’ll get treated poorly until they find someone to replace you.  You won’t receive adequate training.  And some of their practices go against CNO standards of care

Money comes before anything. No consistency with anything. Management plays favorites. Zero benefits. Highly under paid for the job you will do. If your looking for a cohesive team to work with, this probably will not be the place for you.  

I have been an employee at ART for a few years. I started off as a relief addictions counsellor. Management promotes from within and encourages their employees to continue growing. I have truly felt supported in my career here at Addiction Rehab Toronto. 

Addiction Rehab Toronto terminates their employee without cause unexpectedly. They say you can grow with the facility which is a lie. Never trust management.

I like this job very much because i am the in charge of this kitchen but  only one thing the place is little far from my residence. Any way I need little change.

productive, fun, friendly, collaborative, informative, good learning experience, and communication experience. clients are open, employers are understandable.

Not a healthy work environment. Toxic coworkers. Over worked and under paid and under appreciate it. I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to work here.
